Weekly Journal 5

Talk about sports, I would like to talk about snowboarding. It is my favorite sport. I started it since I was 12 years old. I went to snowboarding every year until I came to Japan because I did not have much time to went to another city. I several go to the mountain at daytime because there were always a lot of people there. I loved the wind on the top of a mountain. It was beautiful there. And I went to Korea every year because the ski park there is better than the ones in my hometown.  I spent about a week there at the Spring Festival while my parents stay in the city with my Korean relatives.      I really want to go snowboarding in Japan. I think this winter vocation is a good chance.

I was interested in the Assassination of John F. Kennedy after my classmates gave the speech of it. And I read that Trump plans to release classified John F. Kennedy documents. I am looking forward to it because I want to know the truth. Trump believes that these documents should be made available in the interests of full transparency unless agencies provide a compelling and clear national security or law enforcement justification otherwise. But a lot of his colleagues disagree with him. Trump is really an interesting president.      The first time I knew about Trump was from his TV show named The Apprentice. It was about business and gave me some new ways of thinking about commerce. I'm not sure whether he would be a good president but it's true that he is a successful businessman.

The weather became cold these days, makes me thinking about my hometown. In my hometown, the daily minimum temperature has already decreased to below zero. But it's fine because there aren't many precipitation. My hometown is at high latitude and the belt of precipitation won't go there. But there are a lot of snow in the winter just like the cities of the Japan Sea side. The wind from Siberia bring moisture and then becomes to the snow. And the temperature decrease to about -20ºC. It's very clod in the winter so we rarely go out. There are heaters in every home and it's about 20ºC indoors. It's very comfortable to watch the deep snow in a warm house.

After a long term studying, I started my first trade in stock market. It was the Chinese mainland’s stock market and I started with 20k CNY(about 350k JPY) to test my trade model. I chose a stock named Shuguang and it is a company that produce new energy vehicles. It is on the long position and I did a lot of research in this industry. My trading trade model is based on the theory from George Soros and Richard H. Thaler. OMG I just got to know that the Nobel Prize in Econ just awarded to Mr. Thaler while I'm writing this blog. I don’t know what to say but I’m sure that to get in to Professor Ogaki’s seminar will be much harder than the past years.        Wish my trade will be success in the future.

I found that my ability of using Japanese declined after the summer vocation. It’s a little bit awful but I know I’ll pick it up in a short period.        In this summer vocation, I started the study of TOEFL because I decided to study aboard in the future. To be honest, TOEFL is hard to me because I’m really not good at grammar and I have a low quantity of vocabulary. There are a huge amount of things to learn and it will take me lots of time.        I also went to intern in a venture capital fund for a month. It was a valuable chance because I’m just a freshman. I did some researches about the cleantech and wrote reports on them. I learned a lot from this experience.      But now I need to refocus on the study in the collage. Hope I’ll get good grades in this term.
